Full-Arch Tooth Replacement with DENTCA-4 In Mission VIejo
Living with a mouth full of broken-down teeth can be painful and can considerably interfere with your quality of life. It can also be heartbreaking to continuously have to try to repair failing teeth with root canals, crowns and bridges, only to have problems arise again at a later date.
If you have broken-down teeth that can't be saved or would be better of replaced, you can have aesthetic new teeth in just two to three visits.
Dr. Kim provides full-arch, permanently fixed-in tooth replacement using the DENTCA-4 system. With DENTCA-4, you can receive an entire new set of teeth on only four implants per arch. The new teeth are strong and stable, and they provide excellent chewing power. DENTCA-4 teeth also look very lifelike, and they are more affordable than other types of full-arch, fixed-in tooth replacement.
Benefits & advantages of DENTCA-4 full-arch tooth replacement
Tooth replacement with the DENTCA-4 system has many advantages:
The new teeth require only four implants per arch
- DENTCA-4 requires just two to three visits to replace an arch or both arches
- Your new teeth will provide almost full natural chewing power
- If you have low bone volume in your jaw, you can still get this procedure done, as our doctors can perform bone grafting during the same procedure as the implant placement
- The new teeth are digitally milled from a single block of zirconia porcelain, an ultra-strong dental ceramic that is renowned for its strength, durability and lifelike appearance
- The advanced design makes the new teeth very strong and give great functionality
- DENTCA-4 teeth are more affordable than other permanent full-arch tooth replacement options
- Because the teeth are digitally manufactured, they can easily be replaced at a later date (should this be necessary), without the inconvenience or expense of additional visits to the dentist

The DENTCA-4 Procedure
Our doctors follow a detailed protocol to ensure the best results. Your new teeth will be strong, durable and aesthetic, and allow you to eat whatever you want!
Comprehensive exam and 3D CT scan

We use a state-of-the-art 3D CT scanner.
Dr. Kim and Dr. Ruprecht will start off with a comprehensive exam and 3D X-rays from our in-office dental CT scanner. These X-rays provide the doctors with a complete 360-degree view of the entire mouth and jaw area, enabling them to see exactly how much bone is available in the jaw, and where the nerves and blood vessels are located. Using advanced 3D implant treatment planning software, they will plan out the best position for each implant, and the optimum size, shape and position of your new teeth.
State-of-the-art implant placement

The doctors do detailed 3D planning prior to implant placement.
Using the 3D implant planning software, Dr. Ruprecht then fabricates a custom surgical guide to assist him in the accurate placement of the implants. The detailed planning and preparatory work that the doctors do makes the actual implant placement surgery a smooth and efficient procedure.
If you need bone augmentation for your treatment to be successful, Dr. Ruprecht will perform a bone graft at the same time as the implant placement. She uses special growth proteins extracted from a small amount of your own blood to speed up healing and reduce any swelling and discomfort.
After placement of the implants, you will receive digitally milled temporary dentures that have been custom-created for your exact measurements. You will wear these while your implants heal and stably integrate with your jawbone.
Digitally milled, precision teeth
Once your implants have healed, your new teeth will be milled out of a single block of state-of-the-art zirconia porcelain, an extremely lifelike dental ceramic that can withstand the powerful forces of teeth that have nearly 100 percent natural chewing power.
Dr. Kim will place your new teeth and make sure that everything is perfect. He will check that your bite is comfortable and well-aligned, and that your teeth look great and provide optimum chewing function.
Keeping you comfortable
Our doctors and staff will keep you comfortable at all times. The doctors are gentle and patient, and they will explain all procedures. They are very experienced in putting patients at ease, and they will make sure you are at ease before proceeding to the next step of treatment.
Our friendly staff will offer you blankets and comfortable neck pillows, and you can watch a DVD or listen to music during your procedure. If you need extra help with relaxation, you also have the option of receiving oral sedation.
