Orthodontics—Invisalign® & Fastbraces®

Straight teeth go a long way in creating a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing smile. They are also important for oral health—tooth misalignment can create problems with the jaw joints, and cause headaches and an uncomfortable bite. They can also make teeth more difficult to clean, opening to the door for gum disease and decay.

Thanks to modern dental technology, teeth straightening is no longer only done by teenagers. Adults can have their teeth straightened unobtrusively and in a relatively short period of time, creating minimal interference with their professional and social lives.

Dr. Kim provides Invisalign metal-free teeth straightening, and he also offers the Fastbraces system, which can straighten teeth in as little as three months to one year (at least half the time of traditional braces). Before you know it, you will have the straight beautiful smile you have always dreamed of!

Experienced Orthodontics

Experienced Orthodontics

Dr. Kim is knowledgeable and experienced in teeth straightening.

Dr. Kim is very experienced in teeth straightening with Invisalign and Fastbraces. He has helped many patients achieve beautiful smiles and better oral health through the use of these two systems.

Dr. Kim knows exactly what results can be achieved with each type of straightening. As part of his advanced training as a prosthodontist (a dental specialist in the restoration of teeth), Dr. Kim received extensive education in what constitutes an aesthetic, well-functioning bite. In combination with his experience in teeth straightening, this enables him to get great results.

Invisalign Clear Teeth Straightening

Invisalign Clear Teeth StraighteningInvisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners to gradually move teeth into their correct positions over time. The aligners are usually worn for at least 22 hours per day, but they can be removed at any time for cleaning, brushing and flossing, and for special occasions, such as taking photos at an event.

To prepare for your treatment, Dr. Kim will use a digital scanner to take impressions of your teeth and bite, and he will sends these to the Invisalign lab where your custom aligners will be fabricated. Invisalign treatment takes about the same amount of time as teeth straightening with traditional braces, but it doesn’t have the discomfort of metal wires and brackets. Best of all, the aligners are hardly visible—some people may not even notice at all that you’re wearing them!

Invisalign Express

If you only need to correct minor misalignment of a few teeth, Invisalign Express may be the right solution for you. Invisalign Express is a reduced treatment program with only five to ten aligners instead of the usual full course of aligners. Treatment with Invisalign Express takes about two and a half to six months to complete, and is more economical than the regular course of Invisalign treatment.

fastbracesIf your teeth require the use of traditional braces, Dr. Kim will use the Fastbraces system to straighten your teeth in half the usual time. Fastbraces use a patented triangular bracket design that enables both the roots and the crowns of teeth to be moved simultaneously. This reduces treatment time in half, while using only very gentle forces.

Fastbraces requires less visits to the dental office than traditional orthodontics, and because the treatment is shorter, it is more economical as well.
